Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) - Minnesota Chapter Launch (Tue. 27 Jan, 2015 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm)

association-of-pedestrian-and-bicycle-professionals

Toole Design Group and the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) Minnesota Chapter are pleased to co-host a chapter launch event on January 27, 2015 with special guest speaker Jennifer Toole.

Jennifer Toole, founder and president of Toole Design Group, will share her perspectives on protected bikeway design gained from her recent trip to the Netherlands, her work on the new MassDOT Cycle Track Design Guide, and from her work on bicycle and pedestrian projects throughout the country in urban, suburban, and rural communities.

The Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP) is the only membership association for people working toward more walkable, bicycle-friendly communities. They are a community of peers working in government, consulting firms and non-profit organizations in the fields of transportation planning and engineering, urban design and planning, public health and active living, primarily in the U.S. and Canada. APBP offers tools, training and support for building sustainable transportation. The new APBP Minnesota Chapter builds from that and brings it to the local level, where they focus on regional issues and network with peers.

Light appetizers will be provided by the event host, and 2-for-1 drink specials will be offered by Brothers Bar & Grill.

Event details can be found on the eventbrite page.

Please RSVP on the eventbrite page:

Unable to come that night? Live in Greater Minnesota? We're working on a way to live stream or record the talk for future viewing. We'll keep you posted!
