If you are a Landscape Architect with strong project, interpersonal and client relationship skills, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team.

Position Responsibilities:
As a Landscape Architect, you will work in collaborative integrated team of professionals that include professional engineers and other team members in the development of plans and project documents. You will use your skills to manage and assist in the development of complete project documents that include urban design, mixed-use, commercial, multi-family and single-family developments.

You will also:

  • Review and interpret regulatory codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans
  • Review and analyze land features relating to opportunities and constraints for development
  • Prepare due diligence analysis, land development concepts, design development plans and graphic illustrations using both digital and hand drawn formats?
  • Work with senior landscape architects and civil engineers to develop and refine design solutions
  • Participate in project meetings with staff, clients, & regulatory agencies
  • Assist in editing technical plans, details, and specifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required qualifications:

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Two (2) to six (6) years of professional experience.
  • LA registration or working towards registration
  • Strong design and graphic skills
  • Strong interpersonal and Client relationship skills.
  • Strong skills with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
  • Technical knowledge of landscape architectural site development elements and materials.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
  • Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Responsible for coordinating /project management of work for 5-7 concurrent projects
  • Production of construction documents
  • Managing a project from Schematic Design through Construction Administration
  • Expected interaction/collaboration with related disciplines: architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, electrical engineering, planning, and interior design

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Masters or Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture
  • 2-10 years of landscape architectural experience
  • Advanced Revit skills strongly desired, basic skills a plus
  • Proficiency in Sketchup, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and good hand-drawing skills
  • 3D Rendering talents in Rhino, Lumion, 3DS Max are desirable.
  • Ability, speed, and precision to work autonomously on production of construction documents required.
  • The ability to work independently or collaboratively on multiple deadlines.
  • Outgoing, engaging personality with good listening and collaboration skills desired.

Required Experience:

  • Computer skills including AutoCAD, Sketch-up and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design), Microsoft Word, and MS Excel

Minnesota Wisconsin Playground – Design Intern

Minnesota Wisconsin Playground is currently seeking an entry-level designer to join our team in Golden Valley, Minnesota. This is a part-time position in a growing company and may evolve into a larger role. This individual will collaborate on exciting landscape architecture and park planning projects within our design team. Projects range from modest trail amenities to million-dollar destination parks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and management of commercial playground products and park construction projects
  • Prepare drawings, renderings, quotes, proposals, presentations, and more
  • Review and respond to Request for Proposals, Request for Qualifications, and more
  • Visit new construction sites to gather information such as dimensions, elevations and photography
  • Participate in project meetings with staff, clients, suppliers, designers and contractors

Experience and Skills:

  • Working towards or recently completed degree in architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, drafting, or similar
  • Strong computer skills including AutoCAD (required), 3D Studio Max and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Technical knowledge of construction details and methods
  • General knowledge of ADA and ASTM standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, punctual and willing to learn
  • Experience estimating and managing landscape construction projects is admirable
