The Flyway is an ecological rest stop in an era of shifting climatic conditions. The design seeks to build wonder and optimism around a changing ecological web through storytelling elements, didactic infrastructure and park interpretation along a series of trails. In addition, the design includes three ecological test plots that explore themes such as assisted migration, habitat flux, and the potential of citizen science to engage and strengthen communities. The project focuses on exploring a complex and changing ecological web while developing narrative driven site programming.
