The Glensheen Estate Masterplan reconnects Minnesota’s top historic building and its formal grounds to the historically significant larger naturalist landscape. The design reveals the historical orchard and trails of the estate’s original picturesque setting, links three regional transit networks, and establishes an immersive interpretive program that showcases the role of the estate within national cultural movements. The design serves to guide continued investment in the estate as a nationally significant historical resource and the hub of the North Shore Scenic Drive.
