Reimagining, Renovating and Expanding: At the heart of reimagining the 30 year old garden was an intention to bring a civic minded approach that focused on the visitor experience. Working collaboratively with the artists and curators, both existing and new garden spaces were reconfigured. The aging infrastructure was completely renovated, a more sustainable approach to storm water management, site drainage, the reduction of impermeable surfaces, use of plant materials, energy consumption, accessibility and security concerns became the criteria to create a more environmentally conscious and beautiful open space for the city.
